OVERVIEW
Weppa Farm is a 13,000 hectare farm located at Weppa, near Agenebode, Etsako East local government area in Edo State.
The farm currently consists of 4,000 hectares of cleared land, an area of conserved woodland and previously uncleared land, which is now being cleared for cultivation.
The farm currently employs over 700 people. It is a mixed farm with tree plantations, arable and livestock operations together with integrated industrial processing operations.
The farm invests heavily in research and development, both experimenting with new crops and to improve agricultural efficiency through the use of innovative methods of cultivation. Current projects include, alternative feed sources for livestock and the use of biochar to improve soil quality and crop yields.
